Spatial variation of vegetation changes in Sokoto region from 2000 to 2018

Previous researchers reported that vegetation is one of the natural resources are constantly changing. These changes mostly found in an area affected by human activities. Those study using holistic approach without identifying locations and species plant withstand prevailing conditions. The aim this research was to find out where these affected. This achieved Coefficient Variation analysis on MODIS-EVI dataset, supported field observation. result shows high CV areas around farmlands nomadic routes, while low floodplains Rivers Sokoto Rima. identified can survive Gueira senegalensis (Sabara), Combretum micranthum (Geza) Piliostigma thonningii (Kalgo). It recommended dominant should be domesticated used for afforestation programme region. Government provide adequate grazing reserves animal routes avoid indiscriminate activities area.
